I thought they would be big enough but there is still a small gap...

So what do you guys think, bondo and repaint or take em off???

Headlights are gorgeous.

Not feeling the "eyelid" design, but I think it's because of the weird mismatch at the hood / fender intersection. Why is that?

Thats what I was hoping the eyelids would fix, but they weren't big enough to fill the gap.

The guy that did the work (my uncle) said he can do what they do to a lot of old muscle cars where you bondo the whole area where it doesn't match up then recut the hood and paint it and it will look 100% stock. Also I still need to get the trim piece that goes under the headlights. The BMW replacement part is like 100$.

Yeah, I'd do the hood - can't get away from that gap - just looks wrong.

Otherwise ....

Bondo bad!

It's a shame that old world metal working skills are largely lost today.

Well all the work that has been done so far is bondo free but on such a small area I think it would suit its purpose.

Yeah I would say bondo would be your best bet. I would cut the fender in the inside to follow the factory hood line and that add bondo to match up as much as possible so when you close the hood it looks like it's supposed to be like that. Good luck

Kudos to your job, looks nice. However I still am glad I went with the clear crystal modded jdm lights. The fit and look is 100% factory! It changed the whole look of the front!

cant knock the the lines of stock, but the angle eyes are coming along nicely as well.

id agree with everyone who says more metal work and bondo.

having a family member who knows there stuff makes it easier!

cut the stock head light line out of the hood. better yet get a used hood and hack at that one.

add the metal needed and put your cutouts back. fiber fill and paint!

when i get to that point im going to get a bmw hood and cut the headlight lines out of that to make sure its gonna work!

keep on truckin!
