i posted about it couple weeks ago and it happened again. fortunately i was at home this time; all i was doing was working on some loose speaker wires earlier today and testing the radio. I came out to make a quick run to the store and it just does that rapid clicking/buzzing sound like its done in the past.

I know when the AAA truck comes it will jump successfully and ill be able to drive it as long as i dont run the battery by itself.

So NICO what battery should I buy? I think tomorrow morning if it doesnt start i will have it jumped and get a new battery installed at Sears, what do you recommend i purchase?

Depends on what you're looking for. If you have a semi-high powered system, go for an Optima Yellow Top/Die Hard Platinum battery. If you don't have anything that's too crazy or stock, grab a Red Top or a regular Die Hard/Exide battery. You don't need anything too crazy and you're running stock electricals and accessories. You really only need the deep cycles for crazy sound/theater systems and plan on using the features of the car without the engine on. With that being said, I believe the Altima is in the 35 group of batteries... so good luck with deciding.

never installed a car battery, seems pretty straight forward, however.

nothing weird with our cars, right? just unscrew it from the mount and take off the cables...

I must be one of the lucky ones ... bought my Coupe in 2008 & the original battery is still going strong after 2 years, 2 months & counting.

Sorry to hear everyone else if having bad luck.

So I just called AAA to get a jump, when the driver comes i tell him whats up, he says "oh i got batteries here"

so he just hooked me up with a new higher end battery for 100 bucks, i would have spent 190 at Sears.

he just installed it, tested and the car starts like shes brand new

He showed me the test from the old battery-90, said a good battery should read around 600 to 700 on the meter; damn that stock battery was beat!

I guess this is an issue? I have a '10 Altima Coupe, with a '10 Nissan Battery from Aug. 2010. I feel like I'm back in the situation with my pain in the a** Grand Prix (car I had before) - Winter comes, I'd have to to use a battery charger just to start the darn thing.
I noticed my Nissan was struggling to kick over using the button starter over the weekend...but all my interior lights were bright, radio, clock - fully functional. Over night It was the coldest so far, with some minor rain, sleet. I tried to start it today...nothing!

Broke out the old portable battery charger again - thankfully I recharged it last night. Hooked it up, waited a few minutes and success. SO...I guess I have to get a new battery.
One good thing, Under the hood is very cramped..even changing lightbulbs can make one nuts. The battery appears to be a simple DIY replacement. I hate to do a Diehard..the past few experiences with Sears have sucked..So I may try some other brand.

3-5 year battery life is normal I suppose. If this is the case.ok fine. I simply hope thats ALL it is, not a starter problem.

AC stock battery is notorious for being a POS. Invest in an Optima.

Good you got one for $100, I got mine at Sears, only cost me $110. Reason, my wife's car battery lasted 11 years - Sears Diehard

Thanks, I'll look into the Optima. Hopefully by tomorrow at the latest I can get one, install it myself.
Had the same problem this morning..messing around with the car charger again, Kicked over, but this battery is toast! And with 20-25 degree temps for highs, (12-15 at night) next week. NO way I'm going to be doing this nonsense every morning.

Thanks again.
