Well here is a quick fix to fix your xbox 360 without returning it to the microsoft. I bought a refurbished elite xbox and after about a week or 2 it gave me the 3 rings.. i grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around my xbox so no air could get in side ... I left for 45 min came back and it was only showing 2 lights *overheating* i turned the xbox off and let it cool down turned back on and problem fixed... idk if solution will work for rrod try at own risksil80_chris wrote:Well around 2 months ago i got the red ring on the bottom left and it said E74 on the screen, i researched on it and it said it was hardware failure so i paid a 100 bucks to get it fixed and i just got it back a week ago. And now i'm playing Fallout 3 and it freezes so i turn it off...i turn it back on and i see a red ring and my tv screen is showing E79 and i'm like ...i do research on that code and it's supposedly something to do with your hard drive, not hardware, but i don't even have a hard drive ( i know it's sad i bought the arcade edition ). So is there anyway to fix this without sending it back to MS...help would be much appreciated guys!!!
