Ok, so back into the "Etc." part of this forum. I was extremely excited to read about this last night.

I've been saying for years that we need to focus more on the oceans. Not to dimish the importance of space exploration, but our oceans are still ripe for exploration. This new venture, by the private sector no less, will take us deeper than ever. All I can say is, ITS ABOUT TIME!

Also, in the scientific arena, SpaceX is also making strides to enter the mainstream space industry, by developing a staged rocket capable of carrying payloads into space. We may finally have a viable private sector company to take over the mundane and leave NASA to overspend on the unknown.
