I'd give him the manager one. There is no question that he can run a campaign better than Hillary and McCain... and it should be second nature for those two.AZhitman wrote:But I sure as hell don't want my country ruined by Senator Obama ... never been a manager
Am I reading that as, "I typed something I can't defend, so I'm outta here"?sanioll wrote:Oh what the hell, we got two weeks left right. It'll be interesting. In the meantime I'll just concentrate on work.
The delusion persists, apparently.telcoman wrote:

Never said I wouldn't defend his right to say or do as he chooses.ishkabibble wrote:

I stand corrected - Scratch the word "sponsored" (no more late-night typing for me).HashiriyaS14 wrote:

Looks like he co-drafted the military hospital overview bill and a bill requiring the videotaping of interrogations in capital cases, one pertaining to lead paint in kids' toys, an increase in tax credits, and the anti-profiling bill.
Well, kinda. Public Law 109-472 (signed into law by President Bush on Jan. 11, 2007) was not crafted by Obama at all and his part in its passage was pretty minor. The initial Bill was sponsored by Lugar and presented with no co-sponsors. In the early stages, Lugar had the assistance of John Bolton when trying to press forth the legislation. Again, Obama did not reach across the isle to co-author anything. He came along later and was associated with the bill by his buddy Lugar. At most he was involved at a later time in rewriting one section.HashiriyaS14 wrote:

He co-authored a very important nonproliferation (WMD and conventional) bill with Senator d!ck Lugar.
Interesting.....It does not show Obama as a co-sponsor:http://www.govtrack.us/congres...110-1HashiriyaS14 wrote:He was one of the authors of the "Honest Leadership and Open Government Act", which specifies a mandatory "cooling off" period before ex-pols can become lobbyists.
S. 1194 is the No Child Left Behind Reform Act. Then again, who knows as they keep changing the bills numbers. Regardless you are talking about the Lugar-Obama Act. Pretty much this was an update of the Lugar-Nunn act of 1991 and simply was the same except it extended the bill from Russia to other countries. In effect, Lugar did the footwork and Obama went over it and attached his name to the bill. I'm not saying he did nothing but sweeping dust off an existing bill and making updates with a buddy is not what I would call honestly reaching across the isle.HashiriyaS14 wrote:He was the primary sponsor of S.1194 that improves tracking of spent nuclear fuel.
Coburn has been pressing this bill since 2004 as an anti-earmark bill. This was not new legislation in which he and Coburn wrote to pass.HashiriyaS14 wrote:He sponsored the Coburn-Obama Transparency Act that JOHN MCCAIN was also involved with.
Because neither were new and the footwork was already in place?HashiriyaS14 wrote:Now, how is McCain going to say that Obama has never "worked across the aisle" when he has quite plainly co-authored and co-sponsored two IMPORTANT bills (Transparency and Nonproliferation) with two Republicans (Coburn and Lugar), one of which actually INVOLVED JOHN MCCAIN.

I really wouldnt go so far as to say she is well educated, especially with respect to leading a country. This is a comparison that was done between the two camps educational back-rounds, it paints a pretty bleak picture of the GOP candidates.
Dem Obama: Columbia University - B.A. Political Science with a Specialization in International Relations. Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude & Biden: University of Delaware - B.A. in History and B.A. in Political Science. Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)
VS
Rep McCain: United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899
&
Palin : Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism
OP - That 10 second clip of one question in an interview seems to be taken to extremes, it obviously has a specific agenda.

In all fairness, Mccain is there due to his POW status. He deserves it though. Experience matters. In summary, dems vs reps, democrats are superior in this race, and past eight years do not help the republicans at all.
