yep. I got pulled over yesterday. Driver and passenger side windows were tinted. Got a fix-it ticket. It's kinda funny...a few threads back I said that I don't even bother looking for patrol cars, it's the bike cops that will get you.....well a patrol car got me. How's that for irony...

That's why I live in Colorado, you can tint the fronts down to 27%.

I'm usually really vigilant about looking out for cops. Whenever I or my girlfriend see one, I roll the windows down, but it was 9am, freezing cold and pouring rain. I wasn't really on the ball. He was also hiding behind a truck and I didn't see him until the last second...right when he saw me.

Man, of all the states to have a dumb no front window tint law, why California? It is bright out almost all the time..

According to the california code: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-...26712

d) Notwithstanding subdivision (a), clear, colorless, andtransparent material may be installed, affixed, or applied to thefront side windows, located to the immediate left and right of thefront seat if the following conditions are met: (1) The material has a minimum visible light transmittance of 88percent.

Basically, you can have a tint of 88% or higher, which is barely noticeable. Another reason why I or you shouldn't live in California, dumb laws they implement.
