Good god! That's more than most people's car payments and you have a 2.5! What insurance do you have?

God dang, what the heck did you do to get it up so high? Don't tell me speeding tickets, because I can't imagine how many you got.....wow, that's a rip off.... hopefully you figure something out so you can drive your coupe.

i have farmers. well i have a few speeding tickets, but lets be honest... how big of a speeding ticket am i going to get in a 2.5? but i had that low speed accident back in june and i guess the folks that i hit must have claimed big time on medical stuff. a motorcycle pulled out in front of me like 3 years ago, but i was driving a friends car and it ended up being the motorcycle's fault. i got a red light ticket in the mail this month, but i dont think that has even showed up on my record yet. i guess i have a long laundry list of stuff that raised my payment. 1000+ a month to drive a 2.5... not something i care to pay. :bs:

here in new york red light tickets dont affect insurance. In fact they write the ticker to whoevers car it is. My mom got one while driving my dads car and the ticket was issued to my dad. It was just a $50 but it stated in the paperwork with the ticket that it would not affect insurance.

Did you shop around and get quoted for any other insurance companies? I have geico and they were less than half of what allstate wanted. Insurance companies should be ashamed of themselves.

How comes you arn't going to shop around before deciding to part it. Farmers is ripping you off and if I had to guess you are probably way over-insured also.

That's just insane. I don't know how old you are, but I'm 30, have 2 Total loss claims, 3 Deer collisions, numerous Comprehensive claims, and 37 Speeding tickets on my record. I pay $108 a month through Progressive for a loaded 2010 2.5S. $500 Collision and $1000 Comp deductible. My best friend owns a body shop, so I can get away with that, but even with normal deductibles, it's only about $25 more a month.

You need to do some serious shopping around man.

try insurance in vancouver, bc. i used to pay $360/mo. that's somewhat high because my car was licensed as a delivery vehicle, but even without it i was stilll paying $250/mo. my last accident was in 2001 and around here tickets don't affect your premium. now i'm paying $155 because i'm not using my car as delivery vehicle and i bumped up my deductible to $5k.

hah- u guys ready for this? on my PARENTS' insurance, i was paying $1640 a year with Liberty Mutual at $250k/$300k

on MY OWN insurance, im paying $350/6 months ($700/year) w/ Geico. also at 250/300

my car has been hit 2x, my old car was hit 3x, and ive had numerous speeding tickets that were all put down to parking tickets/no points.

im also 22 years old, and male. yet my credit rating is "flipping awesome" according to Geico lmao

only reason y i even switched is cus i was | | <--- that close, to buying a z last week, and found out a crapload about my idiot ins. co.

G/L w/ the car bro- winterize it and make it last 2x as long :D

im 22 also, never been in 1 accident since i got my license. i have 5 tickets on my record right now, 4 speeding... 1 illegal u turn :gotme lol...
i was paying 200 a month with nation wide, got my last 3 tickets kind of back to back & no one will insure me, 1st they wanted 530 a month then they dropped me (within the same week) & no other company will insure me, right now im paying 80 bucks a month with some cheapo depo ins. company under my moms name (lucky she co-signed) since the car has to be insured since im still making payments... it sucks ud think that much experience behind the wheel without any accidents ins would give u a break

on another note im deff down for a nor cal meet!!! i think were long over due!

alright, so i guess i lied about the insurance payment... i went into the insurance office today (farmers) and they said the $500 ish bill was a mid month statement and i would actually be required to pay $727 per month! i almost crapped myself. but we made some changes and i signed up for life insurance for a discount on my auto insurance. i changed the policy on my car to a leisure or pleasure vehicle and added a jeep cherokee as my main commute car and my insurance is now going to be about 270 a month. so it went up about 80 bucks but that is better than paying over 700! i have 2 speeding tickets (one for 74mph in a 55mph and another for 84mph in a 65mph) and two accidents. one of the accidents was not my fault, a motorcycle pulled out in front of me, i hit him, he wobbled a bit, hit the front brakes and then subsequently flew over the handle bars. the second was in the a/c, i rear ended a lexus suv and it owned the sh*t out of my car. we were going maybe 5mph and his trailer hitch tore my grill out because i was attempting to change lanes when it happened.
