I'm starting a new project and totally leaving the 240 world. If you know anyone interested in doing one of these swaps or wanting to purchase one in the phoenix area let me know.

As for my new project I've picked up a 1988 Trans am with a L98/700R4 in it which I plan on putting into a Datsun Z Car.

What a waste. Why do you want to go that route that has been done so many times before.....

I picked up a '77 280Z and I am gonna try to go RB26DETT AWD in the bad boy!!!

It needs ALOT of body work before I begin, so I am gonna start there, get the chassis ready for the new motor first.

Well joe this time its real.... I've already got the donor Pontiac Trans AM and I've got a line on a '73 240z. My car is just sitting in my driveway not being driven or worked on any longer, I'm just tired of RB's. I'm really doing this because I'm sick of the low parts availablity, all the problems, and just the expense for power. I've always loved the Datsun Z's and GM power is always great..... plus its something I can really do with my dad.

Yes this is for real. I've got my engine and transmission and waiting to pick up the 240z.... Then I'll just sell my project for whatever I can get for it and Be done with the 240s.

ARE YOU GOING TO DO THE RB26DETT SWAP IN THAT THING?

LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES, I MAY BE ABLE TO GET A 72 240Z ALSO AND I MIGHT EVENTUALLY DO THAT. I SAW A VIDEO OF A ALASKAN RB26 AWD SWAP IN A 240Z AND IT RAN A 11 SEC QUARTER MILE WITH JUST UPPED BOOST.

Yeah, that guy from Alaska goes by the handle "Stony" on the Z forums...he said that 15 PSI with stock EVERYTHING got him 392HP at the wheels....I think RB26 with AWD is on the menu for mine, but the L28 is alot of fun too.

THATS CRAZY..... 392 AWD HP IN A 2K LB CAR WOULD BE ALOT OF FUN!
