I think I'll soon be joining the ranks here at the forum of proud owners who appreciate this fine automobile. I have always gone after the different, quirky kind of car. Something out of the ordinary. Something not everyone has. My first car was a 1973 pontiac Grand Am. Never saw too many of those things driving around. I have owned chevy Lagunas, A mercury Capri, even a 1973 Ford LTD 2 door. I was one of the first to buy the 3.5 Nissan Altima 5 speed. Got rid of it when everyone else bought one. Most recent was my aquisition of a 2004 Toyota Solara sport V6 which I traded in for a 1998 corvette custom C5 coupe and another oddball, as a beater a 1995 buick Riviera. Now I'm poised to pull the trigger on a 2002 Q45 I was able to pull its service history through Infinity Which revealed a very picky previous owner who was very diligent with the cars service. The only thing that wasn't done was the accelerator pedal and firmware TSB which I plan to do as soon as i get it back to NY. The title checks out too. I'll probable be going down south in 10 days to begin my drive back.

Looks great!

And I always liked the Riviera from the mid to late 90s. They're quiet, comfy snow cars.

Bah! No good Riviera since 1965!

Enjoy, but one has to wonder why the TSB was never performed?

I would imagine because the driver was a woman who was more concerned about the glove box closing properly and the smoke that came from the car for 5 minutes in the morning (complained at service at least 4 times each) than how the car performed on accerlation. It was probably fine for her because she didn't know better. Not to be sexist but i think women have different priorities than men.

You are aware of the excessive oil consumption issue with the 2002 Q45, right?
