And my experience on that game make it awesome!!!! My first time playing I thought I was doing pretty bad, I was winning all my races upto professional mode(I was surprised). I thought I was doing ****ty and then ppl starting crowding around, so I got off it for awhile to watch some others.

The local "rice" came along and was started playing, I thought they were gonna be pretty good, since they have played for along time and had some tweaked out cards for it. I was shocked!! They sucked. 1 guy was racing a honda hatchback, redlined the start offs and bounced off every wall in the game. Needless to say he was barely beating the amatuer(I was starting to feel better). Then the next ricer stepped up and selected the same stuff I did, except he was running a type "R". His car was quick through the straights(guess all the mods) but his skill in driving was below, he kept getting dominated. By then I was feeling real good, due to the fact they came in and acted like they owned the game. I do not know what techniques they tried to use, but they tried to hit the corners without brakes and bounce off the walls.

Then I got my turn to jump on again, I decided to do expert. Me taking a stock 180sx vs. Evo Lancer. I managed to stay ahead of it, putting pretty good distance on it through the turns, but overall I ran outta time :( after that I was outta money and just left, feeling really well about how I did my first time playing!!! I cannot wait to go again!!

Anyone that has the oppurtunity, GO PLAY IT!!!!IF only drifting in RL was that easy :)

The arcade game is tight, played it a couple weeks ago. I like how at the arcade you can save data and run a career mode thing. Fun.

yeah, when I played it for the first time I beat up on a Silvia coupe on Normal with ease, so I tried hard (Akima uphill I believe) vs. a white EVO IV. I was doing okay, right on the EVO's tail, but I ran out of time right before the last checkpoint :(My friend was amazed, considering how he couldn't get past the 2nd checkpoint until his 20th attempt or something like that. Whatever, hope it hits PS2 in the next year!

Edit: I used a black 180sx when I raced. Most people use RX-7 FDs or Truenos because they are overpowered in that game.

I had to use a white 180sx, I didn't know how to change the color of the car :-/, but ya them ricers were all using hondas, blaah. I dominated the silvia with ease too. Such a fun game!!!

Anyone here play the Initial D game for PSX? I game is awesome, you either race uphill or downhill and drift your way to the finish. I would still be playing it, but my PSX wont read burnt games anymore. If anyone is interested, I can post the site to dl the game for PSX.

You guys should play Initial D Ver.2. The physics of it are much more realistic, unlike Ver.1, where you just drift anything and it has rain! Also, you can set steering and brake values, and at the end, a map of the track pops up with your errors (of course, on Ver.2 its in Japanese, as is the entire game, so I can't really read it :D.

In ver.2 you can also change the mini-map into a cup with water in it. Everytime u hit a wall or something water will leak. At the end you can see how much water is left in the cup.

I played Inital D arcade stage in August last year. It was pretty cool. I think it handled alot like Daytona USA. The only thing that sucks is that I can't use my play cards with the U.S. version. Oh yeah and they changed the names in the U.S. version too, that sucks. Oh, well...
