Picked up the 240 today. Muah ha ha. Already have my mp3 player installed. Need to do some work to make it sound good, car rattles alot as is, it apparently already has clarions in the back deck, dont know about the doors, are there tweeters on '96's? Fixing to check out crutchfield for some better speakers. Anyway, it's a real nice little car, i need to get a passenger side seatbelt clip in part (female part, by the seat bottom) and some plastic parts for the interior, like the handles on the seat flippers (not that anyone fits back there) and a glovebox door...the dealer's sposed to get me a shifter boot soonasty

i'm gonna drive really fast? really though, i need to swap out the muffler, so i may go with something else (anyone got duals? one on each side?) I'd like to change out the air box to something less obtrusive, that still filters good, other than that i'm not really planning anything, maybe a chip and intake...i'm pretty satisfied with what power i've been able to get out of it so far...rained off and on today, waay easy to break tractionast

can't get duals on 240. gas tank is in the way. and if you don't see places for tweeters on the A-piller, then your car doesn't have them. but if you have clarion's in the back, you prolly have the 6 speaker clarion system, which most 240's have i'm pretty sure. i've never seen one w/o it.

alright, sounds like a combo then, with clarions but no tweeters...If i bought the tweeter surrounds could i use them without any major modification of the rest of the door?ast

Only Se came with the six speaker clarion system. And if you want dual exhaust go with the N1 dual I have it and love it. Also if you remove the resonator box from the intake it will give more sound, not much performance but a better sound. I had mine like that till I got the Apex-i intake. Good luck and congrats on the car.

yeah, you can use tweeters without any major mods, is searching for a speaker set up, go with mbquart, i know they are expensive but believe me, it is the sweetest thing you have ever heard, like the dkc 169s and the 218.61s, the 218s come with two external tweeters, i wouldnt get any more tweeters than that, cuz then it will sound very fuzzy when sitting in the back. You could those at car toys, but is you live in houston, then my friend could hook you up.

I have a base 95, and I have the 6-speaker system, it's an option that pretty much was almost standard I think.

Oh really my fault then, my friend has a base 96 and his didn't even come with rear speakers, but I may be wrong. Mbquartz are very nice speakers well worth the money. You get what you pay for.

I have 2 rockford 10's, and orion 500.5 cobolt, and rockford 25a2. I built a false floor enclosure for the subs. Not sure how much weight it added, but I removed the spare tire and jack. I have pics but I would need somebody to host them for me.

I have a base and it came with 6 speakers. I replaced them with a better clarion components front and back. so now I have 10 speakers.... 4 tweeters in the front. (I Left the factory ones in) and just put a pair of components in as well. I have 2 8" Audiobhans in a custom box (300 watts RMS each) and a 1000W interfire amp. I like the thunp... I not only want looks/performance but I also want sound. It does get really heavy though...

I got crap. I just replaced the two front speakers of my s13 with some pioneers, and an aiwa head unit, still sounds like crap. Stock civic speakers with my panasonic head unit sound a million times better. Not a big audio buff, but I need the thing to be actually sounding decent, can't drive without music.

I'm not big on audio, all the money you spent for the thump would've been a SR.

Audio stinks, I'd rather go to a show and have my ears ringing when I come out.

I got a new head unit and 4 xplod speakers for 250, works fine for me.

I just want somewhat decent sound, my grand am with stock speakers all around sounded twice as good as this car does (although, this is alot quieter, no wind noise, so..) anyone suggest stuff cheaper than dynomat to use in my dash and doors?ast
