It's optional for the FWD cover as it uses a stud and nut to to secure it. The RWD units don't use it, so it's vacant.

batteries died in camera only got one or 2 pics but cant upload right now.. didnt get the turbo on spent the beginning of the day scrapping metal and the rest chasing hoses down... got the intake side done and power steering on. i cant get the dam snap ring off the turbo to clock it to get the exhaust side done...broke my snap ring pliers......

question if u bypass the tb coolant line do u need to block the in/out spots on the tb ?? i just ran a hose from where to lines go looping it, but i didnt plug the tb wheres the hoses used to connect. (looks like coolant just goes in and out and that there would be no need to plug it. by the way im using the ka tb.

oh and i guess i should include a list of parts for those interested..

cp 84mm pistonsrecon rods with arp boltsacl race rod bearings nissan mainska tbdual exhaqust camssr t25 for now

thats the just of the engine and if it doesnt blow on first crank lol the luxury of having a motor with 0 miles.. hopefully ill have years of drifting with this engine no major problems ive taken my time to clean torque and double triple check.

welcome to the CA19DET crowd :D

the 1mm may be "not much of a difference" but even 1mm overbore makes a definite torque difference down low

Even if you got 85mm pistons it would only be a 1.9L. 2.0L would need 87mm pistons which would be a .160" overbore (which you can't physically bore out to without hitting water jackets)

The stock bore (3.2687") to a .040" larger bore = 3.3087"...84mm pistons makes it out to be a 1.85L

Once upon a time, for the right amount of money, you could buy a 2l bore/stroke kit from Tomei.

I did my first CA swap in my mother's driveway and helped a friend do a vg swap in his 300 at his mother's s***ty garage. If you can do all this with a storage shed you will love working on cars when you get your own garage! I finally got my own and it makes things sooo much more clam and organized. all my tools are where they should be and I know where everything is. Keep at it! the engine looks awesome.
