Well long story short guys and gals (ca18detgabby LOL), I decided to keep my CA instead of selling it off for a RB20. Over my Spring Break I got to spend some time (and $) with my motor I pulled it out right before school started and to fix some things here and there, I was losing some power as my psi increased, it was falling off as boost went higher from 6-10 pso was the worst. Also I had a problem with idling, I would start it and it would surge and die unles I had my foot lightly on the gas pedal. I screwed around with everything, adjustment screw, new O2 sensor, new couplers, ect.... I knew it was a vacuum leak but I didn't know where from? Well I finally got sick of and pulled the motor, turns out I need all new intake manifold gaskets and Idle air motor gaskets.... After almost two months of back order from Nissan, I had my dad pick them up for me (I'm about 150 miles from home at school). When I was home I planned on installing them... Well needless to say all the bolt hole and stud hole for my outer plenum gaskets were to small by far WTF, everything lined up as far as holes etc. So I ended up ripping the gasket because of this problem... So I ordered another one and showed them what had happened to the gasket (poor college kid-wanted a free gasket from them LOL), they ordered me another one, and I ended up getting it for free LOL, but this gasket was strange also-some of the bolt holes were the right size some weren't, so long story short I ended up getting it back together, exept I can't find that little harness holder thats sits on the left side of the upper timing belt cover!!! ( I need one BTW!! Anyone have one). I will post pics of the motor for you all, I'm sure Sean (I think) would be proud red car-blue motor LOL!!!Anyways I'm sure glad I stuck with my little 1.8l it's a great little guy and it looks so good in blue!!! Anyone else have a good story to tell about there motor? I'm sure DEE has a million, also a little update I ordered a T28 off of a s14 on ebay for $130-almost brand new-I just got lucky..... I dont know what the point of all this blabbing is maybe I'm just exicted for the snow to melt-maybe I love CA18DET's

as long as Im not grouped in with the other girl who was here for a while....... lol anyone remember that CA18detchik or w/e the hell her name was.

glad everything is working out for ya. time to dump that clutch fan though.

humm......... when I finally get to wiring my AC in(probably make the BF do it.... I hate sodering) and then I will have a good story. tired of these 80+ degree days with no AC. though those Flex-o-lite fans are stupid powerful and offer even the driver a nice breeze.

You happen to have the Nissan part # for the idle air gaskets? This may be one of my problems as well.
