Yea, those Audis are so nuch more front heavy than the Q.
I'll take the A8 over the Q any day.
Unfortunatley, I can't find that data on the website. I would guess the G50 to be about 54% on the front, and the Audi A8 V8 to be about 58%.
But it not only that, but initial design parameters. The Audis are designed as front wheel drivers, although none with the large V8-v10-W12 come that way.
Also, is about polar moment of inertia. This is why a mid-engine boxster or cayman is so much easier to drive on the twisties than a Z4 roadster or coupe, respectively. They are evenly matched on most road courses, but the Porsches are easier to drive towards the apexes.
The Bentlley twin turbo W12 is almost entirely in front of the front axle, and I would guess almost 60% weight. The Audi's with the additional differential and axles in AWD end up being significantly heavier and under powered. There is a good comparison in R&T about a year ago that shows the S6 being significantly heavier than a E63 AMG and the BMW M5 6MT. But they did like the driving dynamics better than the BMW (no defeatable nanny on the 6MT) but not as well as the AMG tuned E63 air suspension. Too bad Nissan doesn't compete at this level. But neither does Lexus.
I like looking at A8, but I would never own one. Straight down the Interstate, they are a very nice ride.
