Greg expressed an interest in my being more of a regular around here...seeing as how I'm around here about once a month just to kinda look around being "more of a regular" isnt really saying too much. I'll pop in and out to offer any expertise or advice that i can, but for now, im just introducing myself.

Everyone knows me as jiinkz, and i think i'm gonna have my name legally changed for this reason. I've been driving different forms of motorsports since i was 17 years old, meaning now 6 years, and have been focused on drift for the last 3 or so. I may have a reputation for being an a-hole, which i definitely can be, but I try to be as professional as possible, i just cant stand dealing with people who don't listen. I'm sure that i'll get into some heated debates now and then, but, ish happens and we all know it.

But, yeah, I thought that since greg asked, i'd pop in here and introduce myself and such, so yeah. here i am, i'm here to help.

That is all.

Welcome Blair!

For those of you who don't know him, Blair's a damn good drifter and until very recently had one of the sickest S14 drift beasts I've seen... RIP S14.

Strictly business, except for the MDM-tyte bass-boat sparkle purple paint and the old-school JDM uber-long exhaust...

I'm sure he'll have something equally retarded up his sleeve soon, so feel free to barrage him with questions about drift setup, techniques and equipment.

Welcome Jiinkz!

I'm one of the AZ boys. here are some vid's i've made and stuff, theres a couple s14s that look similar, basically mines the ones that isnt the origin kit on it.

http://www.vosko.net/media/jiinkz/FIR%20April.wmvits the shiny Msport aero s14, not the origin aero s14 thats primered

http://www.vosko.net/media/jiinkz/usdrift05.wmvi think my car was painted, with no aero in this one? or maybe it had aero, dont remember

http://www.vosko.net/media/fri...B.wmv

last one frisco did...and im pretty sure the car was a primer black in this one...but i dont remember

cash? havent spent cash on a part in years, but i have the thousands of dollars in credit card debt to prove it.

as far as suspension goes, its got tanabe DDs, which are being transfered over to the s13...fab work is fun. white line sway bars which are getting thrown in the garbage becuse they're ... junk at best... kazama TC rods, battleversion rear links (toe, ruca, traction), kazama subframe bushing spacers/collars some home made welded bars across the subframe, which will go into the s13 with some solid alluminum offset bushings...

new car's gonna be a monster

so ur gonna switch over to an s13?

what are you gonna do about the slight understeer problem we seem to endure?I'm driving an S13 right now with an RB20 and im about to go crazy on my suspension setup. been saving up some money for a while.....I think I'm about to get the MR coilovers, cusco triangle bar, tein tie rods, .......and a few other things but I'm not sure where to go....I was drifting my friends s14 the other day and all I was thinking about was how it was oversteering so freakin easy. I wanted my car to be exactly the same as his.

what do you think

that's what i've heard.

as far as understering s13's. I've never had that problem. I've driven plenty of cars and the only time i've had a problem with understeering s13s is when i drove a stock base model s13 of a friends in the rain.

Yeah, ive never had understeer issues in my S13, with decent rubber on the front anyway. Maybe only when stock on crap suspension, open diff and bad tires. Good suspension, grippy tires and a kick from a stiff clutch with a 2-way out back and you will get nothing but oversteer, as much as your right foot desires.

BTW Jiinks, welcome to the board, little different than the one I normally see you post on. I had the pleasure of driving with another one of the more well known AZ guys driving a certain big block 700hp beast at the track last sat

last i knew the car was still a SBC...but who knows

that car is absolute insanity and from what i heard last weekend its much better than when it was at the recent driftday event...3" lower, much needed increased spring rates...

by this weekend it should be running a rack and pinion vs the crappy recirculating ball steering. next thing he needs to tackle is getting rid of the crap 28º of steering angle on that, but it wont be hard
