ITS ABOUT 10HP LESS THAN MY RB20DET AND ITS NATURALLY ASPIRATED. I THINK WHEN I'M DONE WITHT HE STORKER ITS SHOULD BE PUTTING OUT CLOSE TO 280 OR 290 TO THE FLYWHEEL ON THE STOCK SETUP AND BOOST. WHEN ALL SAID AND DONE ABOUT 450HP AT ROUGHLY 18-20PSI WITH THE T4 I WANT OR OVER 700HP AT 30+ PSI WITH THE T88 I'M GOING TO PUT ON MY RB30DET.

MY PLAN:RB20DET BASE MOTORRB25DE CRANK AND RODS W/ CUSTOM BEARINGSTOMEI PISTONS RINGS AND PINS (9 TO 1)1.8MM METAL HEAD GASKET (RETURN TO 8 TO 1 COMPRESSION)RB25 OIL PUMPRB25 WATER PUMPJUN SPEC RED TOP HEADPORT AND POLISHRE-VALVE HONEFF INTAKE PLENUMEL TURBO MANIFOLDT4 TURBO CUSTOMCUSTOM IC555CC FUEL INJECTORS

hey man, if your going that route, how much would you want for your leftovers? I'd like to build a motor with a RB25 block and pistons with an RB20 crank and rods. maybe even bore the motor out a bit. big bores and short strokes make for huuuuuge RPM's!

I WONDER HOW A 87MM PISTON MATCHED WITH A 69.7MM STROKE WOULD DO? I THINK IT WILL REV INTO THE 11K - 12K RANGE.

thats what I am thinking! you could pull some serious revs out of it. I am bringing my 1989 coupe down with what will probably be a 91 KA24DE in it jsut to make the trip. I was going CA18DET, but mine needs a new crank and I can't source one in time to move, so I am just chucking a KA ($200 with transmission, wiring and computer) in it for the trip and bringing all of my CA goodies down with me and I'll finish when I get a decent garage and what not down there. wanna go halves on renting a shop?

Dude that sounds like allot of money. Can let me in on your secret. I would be a good wheel man:) already got the car;) You sure got allot of plans out here on the board. Which one you gonna get first. I have contacted some sources for the RB30 but decided to do the 25 first then make a change or build another 240. Would be cool to see a RB30 240 to see what kind numbers they put down here I only have seen the numbers from the land down under. Well good luck

cool, my name is McAdam ( kind of like McDonalds, only with an Adam instead of donalds) I have no idea where in pheoinx or even the metro area I am moving yet. thinking mesa or glandale, not sure. Yeah, I am a bit of a Dr. Frankenstein when it comes to cars. hell, I am building my own CA19DET. I am also trying to find out if a KA24DE head will fit on an old school L20B block (L20B's have fully counterweighted, 86mm stroke cranks) If it will, I am gonna build a KA(L)22DE and rev the piss out of it.

I would like to start playing with RB's tho. ever since I put an RB20DET into Spec-v5150's car, I really like those motors! that and I am a fan of the old school L6's in Z cars. unfortunately, there is only so far you can push a 2 valve motor with non crossflow head. but, I am working on that too. putting 2 KA24E heads togethor to make a L6 crossflow 3 valve head for my 240Z. I like to think of a RB as a new age L6, lol

WELL THE THE RB23DET IS ALREADY IN THE WORKS, THE RB25 DESTROKER IS COMING SOON ( I WOULD HOPE TO WORK IN CONJUCTION WITH MCADAM ), THEN THE 1000+ HP RB30DET IS GOING TO BECOME THE PROJECT.

MY SECRET IS I'M REALLY GOOD WITH MATH AND FINANCES. I SETUP A BASIC INCOME TO DEBT RATIO, PAYMENT PLAN AND I STICK TO IT. I ONLY PAY FOR THINGS IN CASH AND ONLY WHEN I KNOW I CAN AFFORD IT.
