Somehow my fan (the one mounted on the pully in the front of the engine compartment, not the electrical one) broke and came off. The car drives fine without it, doesn't get too hot or anything, which leads me to believe (probably wrongly) that it would be fine without it. Anyone got an opinion for me? :help

i drove mine for a little while with no fan on the stock KA. wasn't too bad but it did get hot a few times.it may not show on the gauge but with the techtom hooked up it would get to 220 before the gauge ever deviated from the middle position.drive at your own risk if you don't have a real gauge.if you don't know already the one in the cluster sucks real bad.

You might be able to make it now, but as soon as its warms, I think you would have problems...

why would you need the engine fan when u have the electrical?

i have an sr (which are known to overheat) w/ elec. fan.the engine fan was removed and it never over heats even on the hottest days. I think your car would do fine if u have an elec. fan

I drove about 230 miles today without the fan, and it didnt overheat :p

Im gonna replace the fan, but it seems like the damn thing ain't necessary. :)
