This is a damn nice car. Now I want one. I'm either going to look for a M45, but probably end up with a G37 in about a year. Driving the M feels like I'm driving a central command center. I've never had a car with so much technology. The last owner left all his numbers in the phone book. I called him up and asked him about the car.

I have a Nissan Titan and a 05 mustang (track car only) and sitting in those compared to the M makes me feel like I'm driving something from the 80s.

Did you get the one with 58k miles? If not, which one? How much... we need more details!

I got one with 55k, black on black, advanced tech with Rear DVD. For 18500 (and they backdated the sale to 2008).

It was missing the spare, I told them to replace it. I could not understand why they were giving me trouble about the spare. They just didn't want to. Well they finally did (they had to order it from Infiniti). To my surprise it was a real rim with new tire. I figured it would just be full size steel rim.

Needless to say the Wife and I are both happy. Only issue so far is the driver seat moves when braking.

Wow! They gave you and actual rim and tire?? Mine just came with a doughnut type spare tire!! I think.... I do remember it was never used though. The driver seat moving should be repaired under warranty. There have been many members here alone that have complained of this and had it repaired under warranty. There is a TSB from Infiniti on this issue.

Full size spare means it must be from the AWD m35x. You need to keep the sizes all the same for that system to work right.

Doesn't really mean it is for an AWD model. You can use a spare tire that is a doughnut type for the AWD M35/M45. The only thing that needs to be the same as the regular tires/ wheels on the car is the overall outside diameter of the tire being used as the spare. Most all vehicles now come with a matching sized outside diameter spare tire, be it a doughnut or full size.

I was told that was not an option on the AWD...it came with the full size spare. I just asked a friend here who had a g35x and he said it came with it by default. i.e. he doesn't think you had the option of a full size steel rim....just the full stock replacement.

Anyone know for sure?

Plus the replacement steel rim would have to have the same weight as the stock rim or it will cause problems with the AWD. This system is very sensitive.

We got her an M35x. Fully loaded

I was thinking about taking the spare out and replace it with a donut, to save weight (better gas mileage), is that not a good ideal since it could affect the AWD? If she did ever have a blow out, at least she could make it home, I would then put the full size back on.

You still haven't told us what year it is and if it is a sport packaged model or base model. Oh, by the way, base models doesn't mean it came "without features". It just means it came with the 18" wheels and no RAS (Rear Active Steer) system. If you your M35x has the 19" wheels and the blacked out head lamps it is a sport model.

As far as I know, only the Sport models came with 19" wheels (from the factory that is). Has this changed?

M35X cannot be ordered with a sport package, meaning that it does not have the 19" wheels, RAS, sport seats, sport suspension, blacked out headlights, orange stitching, or aluminum trim/pedals.

All modern AWD systems require all wheels to be the same diameter, and similar weight. Also, when replacing tires, they all must be within 2/32 of thread, so that the rolling diameter is the same (or very close).

Where are the pictures of the new car? Wife and the car?
