welding up my car

i have 240sx shell and its in decent condition but thiers a couple of rust on the frame and body what kind of metal should i use to patch up those ugly rust spots

It all depends on the area. Your best bet is to make a cut out in the area that's rusted (Square shape if you can) and get a piece of sheet metal that's close or the same thickness as what you're fixing.

It shouldn't be too hard if you can weld.
