Im swapping the redtop sr20 into my 1992 240sx.... I need A/C because its really hot out here. by the way, im using the SR AC compressor b/c also what type of refrigerant does the redtop sr20 use? i was thinking it used the old stuff... R-12?

(1) Is it better to get the hardlines welded or get custom hardlines?

(2) What kind of prices am i looking at for this welding service?

(3) Any tricks i should know about.... any wiring difficulty or is it plug and play?

its your choice as far a refrigerant as long as the stuff before is gone. what kinda fittings do you have? custom lines are the way to go. they are often time superior to even factory lines. r12 is the way to go.

my brother's shop makes custom a/c lines. i think depending on teh complexity of teh line, he'll charge anywhere from 40-150$
