I took the internal wastegae off and I had a grounding wire holding the flap shut. Well yesterday while I was fixing the exernal wastegate I figured I would go ahead and fix my internal wastegate flap also. So I punched it out and welded the hole that the flap was retained in. Is there anywhere else you have to weld? Since I have done this I have been unable to boost. Well I do but I see full boost around 6500rpm. I checked for boost leaks and there werent any so I am guessing there is something else inside the turbo that needs to be welded. Thanks

You can use steal, just be sure to get real good penetration. LMAO...atleast you answered your own question.

Too late now but why not run both WGs? That way you have a backup if one fails and more flow too.

I have an internal and I'm considering adding an external as a secondary.

hm i guess you could run two wastegates, why not? although i do like the theory of less moving parts = less chance **** gets ****ed up

LOL, I have the same philosophy but one would act as a backup so you chance of failure would go way down.
