Hey guys i ran a few searches n didn't come up wit the exact info i was hopin for. Allow me to apologize in advance for not continuing with it, but im beat from work and cant stand this little laptop.

I recently got hired at a exhaust n cat specialist n they've showed me the ropes n are very happy with my weldin considerin i've had no previous experiencevwith welding. I've always wanted to learn, but I wasnt going to pay for a class or buy my own welder and self teach lol. Now that I have this new job my money is on its way up again, which means I can start racing again

I've been wanting to buy a legit rear end (haven't decided on which type yet) but with the costs near a grand, its kinda on the a** end of my list. In the mean time I wanna weld up my diff. Yes I know the pros n cons, please don't preach to the choir. With four years of field experience n jus picking up welding, I feel I'm more than qualified to take on the job myself. I'm just not to familar with the whole process, yes I know you have to weld certain gears together, I've also seen metals bars placed in between the gears and welded that way. I would just like to know the correct spots to weld up the gears and if you have to have any sort of special welder. Also from everything I've read this job has taken people anywhere from 1-4 hours...pretty big difference there. I'm assuming you have to drop the pumpkin...is this necessary or is it just to prevent slag n what not from from getting into the housing. I'm not to sure what type of welder I have at work (I know its an lincoln electric argon shielded mig, I jus dont know the specs of the welder itself). Sorry for the length, I haven't been on nico in months....must be all that built up postin
