Welded Diff?

so im goint o get my diff welded and the guy thats weldin told me hes done it before but i just want to make sure its the right ones. on the pics which ones are they. if some could possibly help ill appreciate it.

im pretty sure its the gears in the box, the 2 sides ones and the one that has a top and bottom

yeah, he needs to weld the spider gears together at the 8 spots they touch each other, then if he wanted to "make sure" he could weld the spider gears to the carrier itself.

Be sure that he attaches the ground cable to the gears and not to the frame or housing. Otherwise current passing through the bearing can sometimes arc and damage them.

good idea. when i did my friends i hooked it up to the carrier.
