Anyone here have a welded diff on their car? If so, how does it feel? I heard you get alot of wheel hop when turning a low speed, but how about the highway? Is it dangerous? I assume it would be on rain or snow but in the highway..... Does the car oversteer alot? Any input would be great. Also, If I wanted to weld the diff, where would i go? To a welding shop? Help!

a welded diff is not for daily driving. the only way i would run one is if i was serious about drifting, or road racing my car. check the drift forum. i know theres a few threads in there about this topic.

Welded diff is a completely moronic idea ... it's sole purpose is for drag racing.

Might as well weld your steering column joints too.. becuase you're not going to want to turn that thing.

The slightest turn's on welded diffs will cause the tires to break loose.

It is for STRAIGHT line only.

Welded diffs work fine. You get wheel skip on tighter turns and when parking. Takes a while to get use to. Rear tires go pretty fast. They work find for the time being. I wouldn't relay on it long term. Welded diffs are not for city driving. No your rear tires wont break free on the slightest turn. You are better off searching your local junkyard for a crappy VLSD for cheap.
