I'm going to have a custom 3 inch from the turbo back, and wanted to know what you guys knew sounded good on the rb25? I love the GT spec exhaust but can't afford at the moment so if someone knew a site that had the same style muffler I'd be happy! but post pics, links and vids and anything that helps. thanks guys

lol not reallyits just a bare muffler exit. no tip, no frilly crap. just the 3" snout on the back of the muffler.

looks stock except its the diameter of a baseball

you think it'll be too loud to do 3 inch and only one inline muffler at the end no square muffler ?

i have 3 inch only to a apexi n1 can and its pretty loud, nothing's louder than cheap *** fence post style 3 in straight pipe haha, that **** resonates like hell, but 3'' w/ a muffler is pretty loud, i will sometimes get a slight headache on long trips and what not. At first you'll love it, but if it's a daily i highly recomend something like a resonator somewhere in the picture. it all comes down to personal pref. it helps when you can hear different cars too. my bro has the fence post style i described and i used to have a resonator. so there ya go

What resonator did you go with? I see a bunch on summit but obviously want the lowest back pressure possible. Pic?

Haha, thats funny because Im running straight 3 inch with no mufflers at all and it doesnt really bother me. This is in a fully gutted car too. Granted it sounds like a Mack diesel at low RPMs but I think it sounds really good when you mash the throttle.

I plan to run 3in from the turbo back to a 3in electric cutout and either hook it up to the stock exhaust or run a full sized baffled muffler to keep it quiet.

Quiet when I want it; fast when I want it.

yea I think I'm going with a straight *** 3 inch pipe all the way back with no muffler until i find the right one. unless i find one i want. I like the muffler used in the ssautochrome knock off of the GT Spec the ones that say "Motoria" on them. can't find them anywhere else tho. anyone got vids or sound clips ?

I have 3" all the way from the turbo out to a Megan Racing muffler. Sound is pretty good...but I'll be upgrading soon anyway. It's not bad at all on long drives, and sounds freakin' awesome at full throttle.

I always hated the idea of a cheap weld on muffler but I'm thinking with a 3 inch pipe all the way back and that motor... there is nothing that can make it sound nasty. whatcha think of this cheap-o ?

Carl is correct. I'm in the process of picking up a S14 with a Blitz Nur Spec exhaust already on it...that's why I'm upgrading.

speaking of sounds of exhaust, I have a Mckinney down pipe, megan test pipe and 3" all the way back to my Tanabe R.M.Exhaust(300whp) and it sound awsome but with my new set up I'm going to do a Y pipe for my duel exhaust, would it sound better to do A or B(with or with out the Tanabe muff) and with 550-650whp, what size piping should I go with, 3"1/2, 3"3/4 or 4''
