I hear ya. There is a repair shop 2 blocks away from me attached to a 76 gas station. I went over asking how much it would cost for them to press in a wheel bearing with the hydraulic press into the hub I already removed.astang wrote:It just pisses me off that chain stores charge something that ridiculous.
There was no lifting involved. I already had the pipe off the car not to mention I sandblasted and cleaned the area for a cleaner weld...OutToWinPAHC wrote:Normal price is 50, they usually get you 10 for the bung and 40 bucks to lift it up and weld it on.
And we are saying that those shops should burn in hell.numbnuts240 wrote:minimum time. most shops will charge you for an hour of labor for anything below, and up to an hour.

Not really because if the book says 3 hours and they quote 3 and it takes 4 or 6 you still pay for 3, its a win loose, depends on which side our on that day. Plus, people are in business to make a living, but if you over charge its another thing.visser003 wrote: And we are saying that those shops should burn in hell.
