Weld Diff swap to VLSD on a S14

Ok so I just got a VLSD, wondering what kind of gear oil should I use? I kno 80w90 but is there anything better to you like brand names or additives that I should add to it. Any preferences on what kind of oil I should use on the VLSD? Some people said Redline? SO yea need help thats all.

5W30.... Quality synthetic gear oil, no LSD additive, filled properly.

We sell alot of Redline 70w90 for the diff in the Z32 300's which is a R200 diff

he means 300zx.... just run a good gear oil. I run Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-110

The gear oil you add is just for the "gear itself"The viscous part is a completely sealed system. The oil you add will never even see the viscous center. Any gear oil you choose will be fine. Once the viscous unit itself goes out. Its gone. The best thing to do after that is weld it, get a new one, and or get the factory replacement fluids and completely overhall the diff. If i'm wrong. Please correct me.

hey just swapped everything. Put everything back the way it was torqued everything to specific ft. lbs. filled it properly. And when I test drove it, it has this whining sound and at times I think I can hear the bearing and race whining too at times. I used Valvoline 75w-90. I haven't done that breaking in procedure. I followed the Tech pages Aftermarket Differential Swap, except mine was a barely used VLSD and it came with the pumpkins any ideas or answer.
