not dramatically.. unless your pushing it hard, it wont break traction.. just do welded diff, its perfectly safe and its not that big of a deal..

welded diffs arnt bad and idk why people hate them soo much (except i think it could be loosening up because of vibrations)

Just make sure you're cautious the first few times you corner hard.

people daily welded diffs... and drive them hours and hours to drift events...if your really that scared of two wheels turning at once just swap it out with an open before the drive.and send me the welded

Man you know nothing for having that may posts.I will only break if the weld are s***y as hell. And there pretty reliable to. I think teddy had his welded since he bought his can and never changed the diff fluid.

I dunno about "perfectly safe" but if you don't drive it like an idiot you should be fine

its just that when you buy something that has been modify you dont know if it was done right or wrong and when it comes to weld diffs anything can happend and a newbe could of weld it and say its ok when its going to break anytime so its not that i dont know anything about it, its just that i want to get some expert advise before i drive it home......this is just a little insurance for me

Post count does not have any connection with intelligence. Whatsoever.

you're not a big fan of welded diff's but you've never had one and know nothing about them.... hmmm interesting.

Well if you drive longer than 3 hours 37 minutes in one shot it will break and lock up. My suggestion is to speed home and try to get there b4 3:37....

Also welded diffs are strongest when drifting so make sure you take as many turns as possible sideways

i never had one but i have drove alot of different 240sx that has weld diff to know how it feels what it does and how it works...weld diff are not for me i guess....just not my cup of tea.....everyone has there own taste.......yea drifting with a weld diff is great but i mostly daily and sometime drift on the weekends if i have the tires to burn but i love to touge especially when i live 15 minutes away from my favorite touge spot which has no cars because the road is not complete yet.....so i hope you understand why i dont like weld diffs

yeaa its definitely not practical at all for a daily car that barely sees drifting. The only reason I'd expect to see it on a daily is if that is your only car and you drift alot. Even then, you should have another diff just incase....

Just be careful haha

dont want to turn this into one of THOSE THREADS.... BUT have you ever even ran one? people who have never actually ran them think that they are horrible. MOST people that have ran them daily dont mind them at all (like me). just throwing that out there for the op

like everyone has said, youll be fine.

i own a 400whp ka-t and i run a welded. my first diff was welded really s***ty and i actually fractured it at a track event, it was clunking and making some noise, but i finished the day on a compromised diff. so even if it starts to fail, youll get home.

whats hard on a welded, is low-speed turning. you will be doing none of that on the highway.
