Your password didn't change. You needed to log into the new forum. Notice that the address bar is forums.G35club.org, not forums.nicoclub.com, that's why it needed you to log back in.

When you do the forgotten password, it resets your password for you.
mranderson wrote: Hatin' it. More trouble than it's worth. Had my password reset and now that I'm logged in, when I try to access my user profile, I get the lovely "You must be logged in to do that" message. If I gotta go through by hand and check every single URL, then I'm out. Is this the "really cool upgrades" that you promised were on the way in the G37 forum earlier this week? Gee, thanks but no thanks. It was fun while it lasted..
As far as the consistant need to log in, two questions... do you click "yes" to the box that pops up when you type in your username and password and it asks "do you want windows to remember this password"?

In your user profile, user options, are you set to "stay logged in" or Require login with each new browser session"?

Sorry you don't like the change.

The forum change should have had nothing to do with your user profile as it simply uses what was already there. G-Series forums is another forum ID underneath NICO and you simply needed to log back in using the same ID and password that you use for NICO itself.

Do not do this with the 350z's whenever the 370's come out. Doesn't really make sense anyway, they are 2 different cars - different motor's....

So, what you are saying is that NICO should have individual forums for each generation of the same vehicle?

Change will take time, but this is much better than before. Membership with the G37 was significantly smaller than the G35, so some technical questions went unanswered. Having a forum for anything with a "G" in the name of the model allows for more people to see your posts and answer your questions.

Having a separate forum for each generation was discussed but decided against to streamline the forums.

Give the change time to sink in, and feel free to e-mail myself, Beancooker, or G_whiz with any comments/suggestions.

Wow... ok some of you have to calm down and be a little patient so we can work the bugs out.

mraanderson...what don't you like? The layout? Hanging with the 35 boys? We're always open for suggestions.

It's still a work in progress..

Kinda scared me at first when I went to the bookmarked G35 forum and it wasn't there...

I'd also like to say that the name mranderson cracks me up...

Carry on.

Having driven a 2004 G35 coupe for four years prior to my current G37, I’m looking forward to mingling with the G35 people again. I only hope they’re ready for an older person (I’m 71) whose views are a bit more conservative than the mainstream on these forums.

Magellan, you're going to like it the way it now is. You're going to like getting to know all the G35 guys just like we'll like getting to know the G37 guys. It is a more diverse group and you'll find other conservatives here too. Plus, the mods are fairly active and interested in Gs. It's a good home.

Somebody in your organization is brain dead.

Find and kill them. It will be considered a mercy killing.

lol, not sure...forgot about the G20, you got me! I would think that since that car is based on the sentra, its ok where it is.

I'm referring to up-and-coming "G" cars that may include the G50. It would seem wise to have one large set of forums to answer any questions. The 350/370 Z will most likely follow suite.

You guys will get used to it...everyone opposes change but trust me, this will be better for everyone!

sorry you feel that way. But it wasn't "somebody", it was a group decision.

I'm the one who spurred the idea, and it will work well. Once you spend hundreds of hours here, you will understand the need for the merger.
