Then more drinking ensued, it was big fun, I wish I could have gotten more pictures but my phone died. We had the celebration as an early birthday party for me and obviously we had to get our fix on some good ole mud bugs - my birthday is today I'm 21!!

Of course it has to be raining on my birthday so I left the Z at home. :(

Pinch tail-suck head, repeat until they're gone.

Love me some swamp bugs. :yesnod

Yep badger is right. :yesnod

Its not that hard to eat them hah. What you do is pinch the tail, peel it a little bit then suck the meat out of the tail. Then suck the head and get the juices out and if you grab one with big claws then if you want to take the time to get the meat out of the pitchers its always a tasty treat.

IMHO crawfish are better tasting than lobster, when I ate lobster I thought they had a rubbery taste and they required a dip to taste good.. Crawfish don't require any kind of dip although ketchup with Tobasco sauce is great!

I'm not sure if everyone knows about Tobasco, its a sauce made in Louisiana on Avery Island. Really good stuff.
Here is a link to the stuff if any of yall want to learn more about it: http://www.tabasco.com/

I was talking about wanting to drive the Z to work today but since its raining I didn't.. I'm not driving anything tonight hah.

Born in New-Orleans and even though I left at 6 weeks old, crawfish (not crawdads, budbugs or f*** crayfish) are my favorite food.

I'm sure them done up Cajun style and fresh would be good. I had one at a buffet before and realized theres not a lot of meat on them. I much rather prefer to put em on a hook and use them as bait for smallmouth bass. They go nuts for them!

One as in a single one or once had them as a meal? They have strength in numbers, like chicken wings. You can never eat them all haha.

Nah gotta be Amurican made, southern style only. And Ill just say that if I were trying a new bag of chips or popcorn just to say so, Im eatin more than one piece :rotfl:. Really its great when they are made right.

In fact this thread made me call my bro who knows a guy that comes back from LA with buckets of them. Its about that time right. And as an extra coinsidense, I totally had the 'Crawfish Etouffée' from a local restaurant today for lunch.

Speak for yourself, I've polished off 25 lbs before all while drinking many brews and munching on taters and corn. I couldn't get enough of them when I lived in Houston, Now I'm craving them so much I think I'm going to die next time I eat them because I just won't stop. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

Yes you do! With as much traveling as you do I would have thought you would have ate some right out of the boiler by now.
