You might as well acquaint yourself to it, it's coming.

As you rush to type angrily in defense our debt-addicted government, ask yourself a question.

If you make $1000 a month, but you spend $1500 a month, how do you get away with that? Credit cards and loans would let you live beyond your means. Now assume that rather than pay off these bills you instead borrow yet more money to the point that you cannot even service the principle of your current debt. how long can you sustain that? You can't. We have that on a national level and the question is not if the system will fail but when.

How long till this

Comes in denominations like this

Nothing backing either piece of paper but a promise. The difference, not the ineptitude of the government listed on the bill, just the delusion of the respective countries citizenry. Wake the F up people. You can't smoke your way through a crack addiction. You can't print and spend your way out of debt. The U.S. government needs to approach debt in the same way we do; you don't spend what you don't have. You pay off your debt and save for a rainy day. you don't pay someone else to do what you can do yourself. You don't hack at the tree limb you are sitting on.

Oh, and while we have a picture of a dollar is up there, take a second look at it. What does it say above "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?" Why does it say that exactly? Why doesn't it say, oh I don't know. "UNITED STATES NOTE."

Interesting story, glad you likely didn't ask but will possibly look into it just to argue my point.

Yesterday's vote guarantees that we will continue down that same path. Until people quit voting for Republicans and Democrats our country will continue to go bankrupt.
