While the engine is idling, look for leaks on the fuel hoses and around each fuel injector. If there's fuel around an injector, the injector needs to be removed and the O-rings replaced; lightly coat each O-ring with motor oil and push the injector back in without twisting it.
Hi rogomanThanks for the reply. It has been a while since I checked the forum as I had not gotten even one reply from my original post(s). Also, I have been sort of busy. I think I did in fact join the wrong forum, but that is not a big deal. I am using my experience on the only other forum I belong to, as a reference. I will find a good one before giving up too easily. That said, _VERY_ _VERY_ _VERY_good news (sorry, I'm excited). The repair shop for $60, diagnosed my symptoms as a little problem of leaky injectors. Nothing that a small $1500.00 investment could not resolve. I about crapped! So,,, I called the number for Nissan customer service, today and got a britt, in India no less, who basically told me not to waste her time. Then I called a dealer, who is apparently, required to retain permanent records of warranty injector replacement based on VIN no. I don't know if the injectors were recalled or just replaced, under warranty without actually being recalled.Guess what. My injectors do not show up on the data base as ever having been replaced. It is scheduled for a trip to shop during Thanksgiving week for _FREE_ replacement. WOW, what a wonderful Thanksgiving that will be! I now need to address a lot more issues on this and other problems, and as I said, the other forum (lawn mower repairs) to which I subscribe, is an incredible resource and wealth of knowledge. I bet those guys can point me in the right direction to hook up with a helpful forum.Again rogoman, thanks for replying
