Welcome!!

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

To our brand new Hybrid Install forum. This is the place to talk, research and compare all of the non typical motor swaps. It doesn't matter if it's a 2JZ or an LS1, this is the place to post up all the info you have and tap into a few of the 50,000+ Nico members who have been compiling there own data about a swap of their dreams. Nothing is to crazy. Nothing is to simple. This is the forum where we all share a common goal, removing the current engine and installing one that doesn't come from Nissan. Or maybe you're on the flip side of the coin and you're the guy trying to install a RB26 into a old Mustang F&F style...lol. Regardless, you've found a new home.

This forum will be highly technical in nature, so keep the off topic chit chat to one of the other forums. The rules here are simple, discussion of all things involving a non Nissan/Infiniti motor swap into any of the Nissan/Infiniti platforms. Or installing a Nissan/Infiniti powerplant into your non Nissan/Infiniti platform.

This forum will only be as good as we make it. I say we compile all the info available on the internet and make this the best Hybrid swap forum in existance It's already run by The Coolest Moderators on the ENTIRE Internet

Well, I'd really rather find a nice U12 (I think that's the designation for the 2-liter) that came with it...

I don't think an 8 will fit in there, in all seriousness.

it'd be pretty friggin tight....the 302 isn't really wide all things considered, but the larger radiator and tranny would surely cause grief.

man that'd be a sweet car though...I hate GM...but the DZ was badass.

How about a VK in a 240?? I'm just thinking that this might be the best place for such a swap.

Has to be a non-nissan motor or non-nissan body.

My name is Jay. I just started getting interactive with this site. But here is my spill. I have a 95 240sx, which is currently at the shop getting a 2JZ-GTE put into it. JDM version cause the USDM version is hard as all hell to find. I'm going for an OEM looking install and gonna leave it stock for a while with a laundry list of mods to come. I will post pics whenever my car is finished which will be in about 3 weeks. So stay tuned...

ive been doing a lot of research on chevy first gen sbc swaps into a 240 lately. now im wondering would the swap be easier in an old z? im fairly certain there engines bays are larger, but are they large enough to really make a noticeable difference?
