So I have been noticing as it gets colder and colder, my car starts better and better. This morning for example, just one little turn and she roars to life, holding perfect idle and pulling perfect vacuum. Now, normally it is a little harder. Like it starts to die for a second then it levels out...but sometimes I actually have to gas it a bit to stabilize the idle. Anyone want to offer me an explination?

Maybe your ambient air temp sensor is acting up. Or O2 sensor. Or maybe the denser air is leaning out the mixture to where it needs to be. It sounds like in warm weather you're getting too much fuel. That seems weird, because when sensors detect cold their input causes increased fuel.

Did you look in the FSM? I'm at work so I can't look at it now, but if somebody's got one, that's where I'd start.

Weekend crew REPRESENT!

See FSM page EF&EC-44; page 166 of the revised PDF. (I may be at work but I'e got Acrobat and the PDF on this computer, *MANIACAL LAUGH*!)

Things of note (not everything on the page) would be battery voltage (check yer terminals, maybe bad connections), check for codes, make sure vacuum hose to 'pressure regulator' is not clogged and check the voltage to it's solenoid while cranking, also check that the solenoid clicks whne given 12V power..

there's a fw other things, try that first, and RTFSM for the rest.

I'm really not sure. might be the FPR, and the solenoid being the hot start solenoid (to raise FPR pressure) but I'm not sure if the CA has that the way the KA-E does. I'm too lazy to figure it out right now, RTFSM

haha.. Jonathan, or Jon, but we already have one (or more?) of those.

call me Sehn or Sen for short; in games that take initials for highscores I use SEN
