So I've been watching the tire pressures on our Rogue more closely since the weather turned colder. I use a small Ryobi battery powered pump to add air. On three of my tires, the increase goes well, with the gauge on the pump showing a few PSI over what it shows when the power is off (but still connected to the stem).

One tire, though, shows about 15 PSI over while actively pumping. It settles down to the correct pressure when the pump is turned off. It takes longer to increase the pressure the same amount than the other three tires. It's like the stem is not opening as much or is partially obstructed. Anyone else ever see this? It's kinda weird and I'm slightly worried that it will stop accepting air. Thanks!

It's a standard schrader valve core in there, chances are it has a problem that's keeping it from fully opening. Get a core remover and replace it.

Thanks! Good to know - I already have a core removing tool, but didn't want to mess with it without some foreknowledge. It's actually my first car with TPMS (we keep our cars a looonnng time).

Just did this today on my old Massey-Ferguson tractor. Replacing the core was the trick.
