I just got done installing a pair of ebay altezzas, I know i know, but I sprayed em all red so they actually look pretty decent.

So I flip on my lights, and everything is lookin good except for one bulb which looks dim on my left tail light. So I go to replace it, and turn on my lights again and it fuses.

Replace it once again and its still dim, so I'm not even sure if its the bulb, BUT, the real problem here is:

Whenever I have my head lights on, my tail lights don't come on anymore. I have to brake for any light to appear. They were working fine for ten minutes, and all of a sudden I don't have tail lights anymore unless I'm braking.

Another weird thing, even with my head lights on my dash lights don't come on unless I brake. So some weird electrical $*#@ must have happened.

Ideas?

This is going to sound crazy but I had a similar experience happen to me; check your bulbs in your rear lights and replace them with the EXACT ones that are specified for the rear. The problem I had was when I was braking, my parking lights (front ambers/turn signal lights) would turn on too! weird s***, I tell ya, but I managed to figure it out on my own. lol

also check the dimmer switch in the car, especially if you have an aftermarket radio. i know it sounds like it wouldnt effect but i popped 1544236 fuses trying to figure it out and thats what it was. (orange wires on radio for reference)
