So my car makes this odd grinding noise that I have narrowed down to the transmission. If I let the clutch out you can hear this grinding noise and if you lift the rear tires off the ground with it in neutral the passenger rear tire starts spinning.

Also If I put it in 1st gear and let the clutch out it doesn't die it just starts moving...is that normal on 240's? Oh also it makes the noise in gear too, like I can hear the grinding when I start in 1st. If I push in the clutch it stops, put it in 2nd and it starts again. It does it through all gears.

Anyone? Is this my clutch needing to be adjusted? Throw my other transmission in? Its the only noise my car makes, other than that I have no rattles or anything. Thanks for the help in advance, I hope I described the problem in enough detail.

Sounds like bad syncros. Probably be best just to get a new transmission, or rebuilt since youve been driving on it.

Yeah the transmission works perfect no problems just the noise. However I do have spare so I will just do clutch, transmission and new motor all at the same time. If that is whats needed.
