So im having some starting issues. First of all however, for the past couple of years, every now and then the car would struggle to turn over. (New battery) Hasnt been much of a problem just every now and then id turn the key and the car would start to crank and just sort of seemed to lose power and crank super slow. However the very next time i turn the key the car would start normally. Now whats happening, when i first turn the key the whole car loses power and the car doesnt crank at all. But then i try it a second time and it fires right up. Cant really tell if its a hot/cold thing yet. Just seems like if the cars been stting for any amount of time turn the key nothing (I may have heard a click) second time car fires right up. Any ideas?

I know you have a new battery but make sure your battery connections are clean and tight and that the battery voltage is >12.5 VDC. Also check the 'hot' (positive) wire going to the starter and make sure it's secure and no wire is crossed with it. Also check the security of the main ground connectors.

If the battery and wiring/connections are good, most likely. you have a 'sticky' (gummed up) starter. It's also possible to have a failing pinion gear but less likely to have a bad flywheel. If you are electro-mechanically inclined, you can remove the starter (2 mounting bolts and electrical connectors), dis-assemble and then thoroughly clean them. With the starter out, you can check the condition of pinion gear and flywheel. Put alignment marks on the starter before dis-assembly. Clean the front/mechanical side (planetary gears, etc.) with carb cleaner or equivalent. then lubricate with White Lithium Grease. For the rear/motor side, use a contact cleaner for the rotor and stator and also check the brushes.

Very good. So did you replace the starter or just cleaned it?
