I have a 91 original TT, 5 speed. My speedometer reads 120mph parked and is always jumping around.. If I smack the cluster the speedo moves around significantly and eventually if I hit it a couple times.. (softly of course, I don't hurt my baby
) it will eventually catch and will read an accurate speed. My Odomoter works fine, my oil pressure works fine, my tach works fine but my boost gauge usually reads full boost no matter what. If it was the speed sensor I don't think smacking the cluster would fix it -__- the needle bounces around a lot but when it finally catches it doesn't jump any more. Any insight would be very appreciated, I'm thinking of buying a brand new Cluster from Nissan, I can pick it up for around $350 brand new, I don't mind spending the cash, it will look nice and if it can fix my problem then I'm all for it but I would really appreciate some insight if anyone has suffered from this weird speedo issue.
