I'm not sure if I can describe this very well since I don't know car lingo very well, but when I shift into first it occasionally makes this weird sound.

It's only in first, and sometimes it'll be real loud. Sounds like it would be coming from the front end of the car, but when I had someone in the back they said it sounded like it was coming from back there. So I guess it reverberates alot.

The best way to desribe it is almost a twang sound. Like hollow ish... I'm not sure. Hope you guys can help out though!

Thanks

I'm not quite sure what that could be... I thought maybe at first you were grinding gears, lol, but I dunno. I sorry I can't be more helpful... I'll look into it and if I find anything I'll post it. Also, welcome to Nico... Though I honestly doubt you will be staying... =/

I agree. I'm thinking maybe you are just kind of grinding the gear and not holding the clutch in long enough? I'm not sure though as I have a CVT auto Versa and don't have a MT. I'll also see if I can find anything out for you.

This may be a stretch, but do you think you could get maybe a sound recording of the noise? I'm not the greatest at troubleshooting but it may help.

And I hope I didn't offend you with my comment, we just get a lot of people around here that ask questions and leave. Honestly, I'm surprised you responded.

It isn't a problem, maybe even by then someone else with a little more experience may be able to help out.

Nico is a great place to be if you are a Nissan owner. Not to sound like a brochure, but it really is a big family here. So, don't hesitate to ask anymore questions if you need to.
