weird sound ?

Ok, so earlier I am checking my timing since I never really got the dist in perfect after my timing chain swap. I'm working on it and all of the sudden my engine makes this....sound as if it there was a sponge inside of it, and someone had squished all of the water out of it. I checked the oil level, and it was about a quart low, haven't had a chance to check coolant level but I imagine that it was full too, as I only checked it 1000 miles ago. Any body got any ideas as to what this might be?

Ah I figured it out, was low of PS fluid.
