weird rev problem

ok so if you read my first post youd know my car wouldnt rev over 5g while driving, wellllll i put my exhaust on yesterday and it revved normally. any thoughts? i dont kno what the make of the exhaust is but its 3inch with a 3 in test pipe. a litttle big in my eyes but hey if its free its for me
