weird problems.

ok so i started my sr about 3 weeks ago now and its been running pretty good. but recently the idle sometimes fall flat on its face. i tried adjusting the idle but when it would idle good its was sitting at 2 grand. and lately its been sputtering sometimes when i'm just trying to drive it easy. i found that i have a massive boost leak in my intercooler because theres a hole in it so i need a new one now. this is my first boosted car.....a boost leak like that will cause crazy problems like this right? cuz if its not the boost leak i'm scared haha. i figured that it had to be the reason for the sputtering and making it hit a wall but what about the idle problem could a boost leak cause my idle to act weird like it has been? when i first started the car the idle was fine..it purred....then just started acting weird out of no where.

Boost leak can most definitely cause this... Fix it. And report back if thats not your problem
