I have a 90' 240sx with a KA24DE. Minor mods. Intake, coils... nothing too special. My problem is it seems that whenever I drive in dry conditions my car pulls significantly harder than when in wet conditions. It seems like the KA is lacking upper RPM power while its raining. Could something under the car be getting wet and robbing my power? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated... I want to go fast no matter the weather!

engine is probably spinning the wheels faster than they can get traction. common problem with 240's in the rain. lack of traction ftl.

There's more drag on the road when its covered with water? Also the humidity in the air has drag on your car even though you can't feel it when you stand outside

Its definetly not wheel spin, and its much too significant to be drag alone. Its like an extra 700 pounds are added to the car when its raining and my rate of acceleration drops through the floor.

i had a similar problem with my 88 300 i had. when it rained out i would some how get moisture to build up in the distributor cap and it would limit the spark. i ended up changing out my cap and rotor and it worked fine till i sold it.

Thanks for the advice, I may as well try that seeing as I have no idea where else to start...
