well i installed my hks ssqbov on a couple of days ago and it's not going off im guess because of low boost so im thinking thats what is causing this....... the problem is when i start beating on the car lets say on the highway and when i shift back to neutral the rpm drops all the way down to 1 or else 0 and dies on me, what could be the cause of this??

Not blowing off?1. Its probably incorrectly adjusted.

Stalling?2. Thats what BOV's do.

1. The HKS SSQV BOV isn't adjustable, it has a sequential release, one for low boost and one for high boost.

2. That's what BOV's do when it's not recirculated is what I think these guys were saying. If you blow off too much metered air, the engine goes rich because the ECU is adding fuel for air that is now gone. When you let it drop to idle during a blow-off, the engine gets flooded with fuel and stalls out sometimes. Most people tighten their BOV to keep from stalling, but it's not a permanent solution. What you need is the recirculating adapter to recirculate it into your intake. (assuming you have the "SSQV")

Raise your idle to around 1000 RPMs... it won't stall out.

Also, don't suddenly get off the throttle hard and on the brakes. Easiest way to stall a motor. Be smooth and give a little blip of the throttle after you purge and you shouldn't stall out.
