Last one I had that done that; it wound up being a blown headgasket.

Steam comming out of the overflow tank...nah thats not overheating, thats just steam.......Huh???

A h.g. would make it over heat and that is exactly what is happening. Thanks though.

The real question is why did you replace the water pump and thermostat? What was the symptom that made you replace those parts? We'll start there, that way we can see if the water pump and thermostat helped anything.

Is there a need to be a d!ck? Didnt see the steam thing, my bad. Im having a similar problem, but when I start the car with the rad cap off, it pushes fluid out the rad. Also looks like it leaks from the water pump, so figured we had the same prob. Any suggestions?

try this:

with the car cold, open the radiator cap and start the car. if it is pushing out the coolant out of the radiator, that is a blown head gasket. thats your exhaust stroke of your motor leaking out your radiator.

if it doesnt do that while its cold, the thermostat either got stuck closed already, or you need to bleed it. bleeding a system may take up to an hour, no joke.

good luck!

you can also test your thermostat by putting it in a pot of boiling water.

And It wouldn't be anything else, like a clogged rad or something. I've used that radiator stop leak recently, would this do it?

Is it possible the thermostat is stuck open.
