I just put a aftermarket oil catch on my sr. Well i opened the hood after i took it to work and there was oil everywhere. And the dipstick was popped out and oil was coming out of it. And another thing is that the catch can that i bought had smaller inlet and outlets and i had to modify my hoses alittle bit to make them fit. And i just checked the catch can and there is absolutely no oil in it. Heres a pic

with the dipstick popping out and oil seeping from it, it would seem there is too much crank case pressure, which is no good. a few people have been having these issues lately and if i remember correctly one individual ended up ruining his engine from too much built up pressure. i noticed from your picture that the inlet from the crankcase>valve cover>catch can is correct. i run mine the same way. though you didnt mention where it was recirculated to (a filter? intake?). i would imagine that if it was plugged up, that would cause the increase in crankcase pressure. not to mention you said the fittings on the can were smaller.... all in all i would say too much pressure in the system. find the bottle neck, and take care of it. by the way, is it burning oil? white smoke, blue smoke?good luck!

Try changing the PCV. I had a bad PCV which was making my oil dipstick shoot out doing the same thing.

Throw a breather on it. You want crankcase pressure as close to zero as possible. Helps oil drain back out of the turbo etc. I blew the oil seal out of my old 2871R because of a POS catch can that was on my SR. So when I went with my new turbo setup I did a custom crankcase breather setup that will surely do the job. Three -10 lines to the valve cover and one -10 line to the block. This all leads into a humongous can with three breathers on it.

Ok this morning i i drilled a hole on the side of the catch can. And fabbed a nipple on the side and put a breather filter on. Now im going to leave for work and lets hope this fixes it! Ill keep you guys updated when i get home later tonight!

Well i got some good news and some bad. I got home tonight and i looked, there was no oil anywhere but the dip stick was still popped up. This is really making me mad. Is it doing and harm on my engine?

I would take the can off until you can figure out what's going on. It's not like that can is going to help that much anyway. So you will be just fine running without it for a while.

Also, can you take some more pictures of exactly where you have the lines run to. Are you still running the OEM PCV setup?

I would like to buy/make a sick catch can like yours broadfield.

... your radiator hose looks a little pinched tho, are you going to loosen it?

I can sell you one just like it, but it's about $250.

Yeah, those are build pictures. So some of the things in the pictures aren't 100% finished. But thanks for looking out for me

Yes i am still using the stock PCV. Can i just take the can off and put that breather on the other end of the T and plug the intake?

Are you guys prehaps running one of the lines to the cold pipe? That would deff cause the problems the OP described by pressurizing your crankcase by the turbo. I cant see where your other lines goes to from the catch can.My .02$

nah i have mine running from the valve cover T to the can...then i had the side that suppose to go into the intake in the wrong spot at first. I had it goin into the intake piping after the maf(meaning closer to the turbo and not the air filter, im stupid i kno..) But now i have it plugged bc i have a sucky can catch that has like a less than a quarter inch hose for the intake supply and wont fit into the intake supply bc the hose is too small. So i have to get a new catch can. I think im jus going to eliminate it for now until i get the right one like broadfield said in the above post.
