weird noises?

ok, i have had the car for a month and it is already messing up. first, there is a whisking sound when the clutch is engaged. i figured this might be the throwout bearing? also, there is a small ticking/clicking noise from the left side of the car constantly, after the car is warmed up. My heat shield is cracked, i figured this might be the problem. the sound is pretty loud, so i was thinking there might be bigger problems. any info is appreciated greatly. thanks.

This ticking/clicking is coming from underneath the driver's side? You can take out both heatshields. It's not hard to do. I did it on my s13. The whistling sound I have no clue..man. Im sure someone else with more knowledge can pin point that one.Good luck!

Question does the whistling sound change when you push and release the clutch if it does than it is probably your Throwout Bearing.
