OK guys, I do not have that much experience with turbos but I have noticed a few odd things as of late...

First....There seems to be a ticking noise, upon acceleration, from 2500 through 3500, coming from the driver side of the car...Its weird because it fades off at 3500 and ONLY occurs between the range I stated and CAN'T be heard if revving in neutral, only under load.

Second...My Profec B II has been throwing warnings at me...but here is the strange part...My peak is not higher than my warning?!?!? I don't get it...here are my settings...fairly conservative...(daily driver settings)

set = 10% gain =10% set gain = 0 warning 14 psi

Now my peak only shows a max of 11.2!!! I just don't get it. Do you think it could be a loose wire/hose??? (although I checked all the lines, they look good)

So am I just hearing things or do think there is a problem???

I believe this could be an exhaust leak. What you might be hearing is actually exhaust gas pulse, which sounds like a ticking noise.

I'd check the gaskets/connections from the turbo down to after the cat.

I could be wrong though, plenty of things could make a ticking noise.

I have the ticking noise too and I've only noticed it in the last week or so... same conditions you mentioned. And my Profec B 2 beeps at me when my peak is lower than my warning... let me know if you ever figure out any of this and I'll do the same if I figure it out...

i had the same problem with my profec b spec II. If you change from psi to kpa mode it will not give you the false warning signal.
