Hello ladies and gents.
I recently took a day trip to the beach. One of the roads I was on was particularly bad and I bottomed out. Pretty low on coils so I slammed the ground pretty hard. Ever since, my car has been making a weird noise while taking high speed left turns. When I say high speed, I mean about 30mph and higher. If you've ever crushed a soda can and let it rub your bicycle tire, the noise is very akin to that. If you haven't done that (seriously what was your childhood?) then it's pretty similar to very loud tread noise on a big 4x4. It's not the tread because it looks fine on both tires. And it's not rubbing. On the side the noise is emanating from, I put chalk on the tire to see if it was rubbing on the strut or the inside of the wheel well. Nothing to report in terms of rubbing chalk off.
So I've deduced it's either air, or perhaps I've bent one of the drive shafts. Which is definitely not something I want. I know a user had to replace his recently and I was wondering if it made a similar noise. There is a lot of grease I don't remember being there before, and thank god I didn't crack my oil pan.
Any input would be appreciated guys. Again, the noise only occurs going left on a swooping bend at 30+ mph.
